A powerful message contained within a can
Andy Warhol made a simple soup can iconic. The point? Well in a nutshell, it was to say something about mass production. What Paul Kneen cleverly did was take this concept and use it to talk about the ‘mass production’ of lions simply for man’s hunting pleasure.
Twisting the original soup text, Paul has created a powerful image that speaks about this terrible issue on many levels. We think this piece is amazing. It is not only striking and visually beautiful, but it uses something familiar, Warhol’s Cambell soup can, to get his point across.
He originally screen printed 20 of these wonderful pieces, hand finishing each one. Unsurprisingly these all sold, but here at CreativeFolk you can get your hands on a selection of lovely prints.
This clever fine art giclee print is available in 3 sizes, is signed by the artist, and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity. Canned Hell is created using Epson archival inks on 310gsm German Etching Paper giving you a stunning print that will last you a lifetime.
